MEET THE NEW ACC NATIONAL EXECUTIVE

The 2009 ACC National Conference on the Gold Coast was a historic conference with the leadership elections of a new National President and members of the National Executive, following Brian Houston¹s announcement in January that he was not going to stand for re-election. Also retiring from their Executive positions were Stephen Penny, Danny Guglielmucci and Ian Woods, all of whom have served on the National Executive for many years.

While on one hand it was conference to honour and appreciate those who have served in leadership roles for many years, it was also a conference to welcome some new faces to the Executive leadership.

On Tuesday 28th April 2009, Wayne Alcorn was elected by the voting delegates of the Conference as the new National President of the Australian Christian Churches. In the other official roles, Alun Davies was re-elected as Vice President and Keith Ainge re-elected as National Treasurer. The newly elected National Executive included the re-election of Ashley Evans and Michael Murphy, with new members Shane Baxter, Donna Crouch, Gerard Keehan and John McMartin.
